Ranal to ramp up Engineering Design Services

With the demand for engineering design services increasing the
world over, especially in India and China, the US-based Ranal plans to ramp up its presence in Bangalore and Pune
where the company's design centres are located.
At present, the company employs 120 professionals at the two
centres, which are driving the projects relating to
engineering design and simulation services for automotive and
aerospace industries in the US, European and Chinese markets.
The company is also entering the product design segment of
automotive and aerospace industries.
"In order to meet the growing demand for design services in
all the three segments, we intend to increase the headcount to
250 by the end of the present fiscal. The headcount will reach
500 in India by the end of 2008-09. Our Pune office can
accommodate up to 250 professionals. The staff will be evenly
spread between Bangalore and Pune," P Ramesh Chandra, managing
director (India Operations), Ranal, told Business
Standard.
